Things You Need To Know

Park My Phone is a great way to save money on your phone bills if you just want to give up some of your phone lines but not the phone number or if you are moving to a different city, state, country or going away for a while. After you sign up, we will port your phone number to our system. You can select from different options how to process your call when it comes in; you can just leave an outgoing message or choose to forward your calls to a different number.

For landline numbers, it can take from 1 to 5 business days to port over your number, depending on the details and accuracy of the LNP form you fill out for us. For cell phone numbers, the porting process usually takes 1 to 3 business days, but we offer an Express Porting service to speed up this process to potentially less than 24 (business) hours. Unfortunately for landlines, we cannot control the process and the time it takes to port a number. The losing company obviously does not want to lose a customer and sometimes they make it harder to port a number away from them.
Canadian numbers take longer, unfortunately, due to complications and regulations in Canada. It can take a week or two to port Canadian numbers. We encourage you to contact your representatives to make things a bit easier in your market.

For situations like these, we recommend the SIM card plan. It can be a hassle to port your phone number for brief amounts of times, so instead we can simply ship you a SIM card, let you pay for however amount of time you’re in the US/Canada, and then when you move back, we’ll simply deactivate the SIM card.

Yes. ParkMyPhone is the ideal service if you are changing your service provider to companies like Vonage and MagicJack, and they are not able to port your phone number.

After porting your phone number to us, you can leave a message telling your callers about your new phone number. If they leave you a message you can receive it via email, or by calling in to our system, using any regular phone.

Contact us with your phone number so we can check the availability for your phone number.

Yes, this is your number, so you can port it anywhere you wish at any time. You must notify us that you intend to port your phone number in order for us to stop charging you. Please read further for answers regarding payments and refunds.

Yes, and you can choose to either receive all the calls on a single telephone, or through a separate telephone for each number. You can even “mix and match.” Just let us know your special needs, and we will do the best to fill your request. Call us at 1-877-727-5698 or chat with us online!

No. We do NOT CHARGE you for porting away your number, if you let us know that you intend to port your phone number away. Your new provider might charge for porting your number. (Please consult with them before taking such an action).

If you have signed for a one year prepaid package, you might not be eligible for a refund for your unused period. Please see other questions in this matter

Yes we transfer the caller ID if it is available. The call is completely transparent, so you should receive all information that is sent to us.

Yes. For US numbers parking landline, toll free and cell phone numbers we have a 6 months minimum payment requirement. With faxes and Canadian numbers, this requirement is one year (12 months). However, if you selected the 12 months prepaid discounted offer you will not receive any refund. Porting your number involves both direct expenses and is labor intensive. Your first annual payment will cover the cost of porting your number AND your first 12 months of service. You can port your number away from us any time you choose (after the first 30 days), but this payment is not refundable.

If you find you need more minutes, you can customize your package by adding bulks of 100 minutes to your forwarding package for $2/Mo. So you can have a plan with 600, 700, 1600 or 1700 minutes if you wish. However we do not have “gotcha” charges for a few minutes overage. Regardless, we do ask that you stay within the limits of your plan.

Our service was designed for a longer period of time. However, we now offer a service we call Short Term Parking. This service is designed for those customers who need our service for a short term, a few days to a month.
It is mainly used by mobile customers wanting to change their plan, but can also be used with a landline. Feel free to contact us if you have more questions.

What you are trying to do is to turn your DSL service to be “Naked”. We cannot guaranty that any of the services or features currently attached to your phone line will be preserved. You should check that and DOUBLE CHECK it with your current phone company. Many companies might disable the features and services on a phone line after it is ported away.

However, we have had customers succeeding in converting their DSL phone line to a “naked DSL”. Below is some info contributed by a customer who was kind enough to send it to us, for your information:

Here are the main steps in achieving a “Naked DSL” after porting your phone number to us while keeping your DSL service.

1) Sign up to manage your account online, (Verizon customers should go to verizon.net not verizon.com) log in and sign up for credit card billing for your DSL service.

2) Signup for ParkMyPhone service and send in the forms.

3) No down time should be observed during the porting process.

4) Later, you might receive an email from your DSL company, asking you to switch to online credit card billing (if you haven’t already done so).

We have created a plan for customers traveling or living abroad. We call it WiFi calling. It uses an app that you will install on your smartphone and using the data network (WiFi is best but mobile data may work if you are not moving), will allow you to make calls to the US and Canda and receive calls from anyone who has your phone number. If the phone is not connected to the internet, callers will be able to leave a message for you, and we will email it to you, as well as display it on the app. In addition, you will also be getting text messages to your email and will be able to send and reply from there as well. The price of the plan is almost the same as having voicemail and text together, but we anticipate that it will save you money when you need to call businesses, friends, and family in the US. Best of all it will allow you to behave as if you never left (beside the time difference ;)).

So in addition to the WiFi calling plan, we also developed an option for you to use your number on any unlocked (TMobile phones should work as well) GSM device when you come for a visit.
