Privacy Policy

Effective date: [LAST UPDATED DATE]

Park My Phone LLC ("Park My Phone," "we," "us," or "our") provides phone number parking, eSIM, fax, SMS, and related telecommunications services through the website parkmyphone.com and our applications (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to customers, prospective customers, and visitors to our website.

Because we are a telecommunications provider, certain information we handle is regulated as Customer Proprietary Network Information ("CPNI") under U.S. federal law (47 U.S.C. § 222 and FCC rules). Additional rights apply if you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA) or a Canadian resident (PIPEDA), described below.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

  • Account & identity: name, billing and service address, email address, phone number, account credentials, date of birth (where required for identity verification), government-issued identifier (where required for number portability or eSIM activation).
  • Payment information: payment card details, billing address, and transaction history. Card data is processed by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Communications with us: support tickets, chat messages, call recordings (where lawful and disclosed), and survey responses.
  • Porting and provisioning data: letters of authorization, prior carrier account information, and other information needed to port a number or provision a line.

1.2 Information we collect automatically

  • Service-use and network data (CPNI): phone numbers dialed and received, date, time, duration, and routing of calls; SMS and MMS metadata; fax transmission metadata; data session metadata; features, plans, and services subscribed to; and the technical configuration of your service.
  • Device and connection data: IP address, device identifiers, ICCID/IMEI/IMSI (for eSIM and SIM services), browser type, operating system, language preference, and approximate location derived from IP or network attachment.
  • Website analytics: pages visited, referring URL, time on page, and similar interaction data, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).

1.3 Information from third parties

  • Underlying carriers and vendors who provision your service back to us (e.g., porting confirmations, line status, message delivery receipts).
  • Identity and fraud-prevention providers who help us verify you and protect the network.
  • Credit and payment processors where relevant to billing or refunds.

1.4 Sensitive information

Some of the information above is treated as "sensitive personal information" under California law (e.g., account credentials, precise geolocation if collected, government-issued ID, and the contents of mail, email, or text messages where we are not the intended recipient). We use sensitive information only for the purposes described in this Policy and limit its use as required by law.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide and operate the Services: activate lines, route calls and messages, deliver faxes, manage your account, and maintain quality and reliability.
  • Billing and payments: charge for services, process refunds, manage taxes and surcharges, and detect billing errors or fraud.
  • Customer support: respond to inquiries, troubleshoot, and follow up on tickets.
  • Security and fraud prevention: detect and prevent abuse of the network, account takeovers, robocalling, SIM-swap fraud, and other unlawful activity.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance: meet obligations under FCC, state, and Canadian telecom rules; respond to lawful requests from authorities; comply with tax, anti-money-laundering, and recordkeeping laws.
  • Service communications: send transactional notices about your account, outages, changes to terms, and security alerts.
  • Marketing (with required consent): tell you about new features or related services. You can opt out at any time (see Section 6).
  • Product improvement: understand aggregate usage patterns to improve reliability and design.

3. CPNI — Telecommunications Privacy

U.S. federal law restricts how we use and share CPNI. We use your CPNI to provide the Services you have purchased, to bill you, and as otherwise permitted or required by law. We do not use CPNI to market services to you in categories outside your existing service relationship without the consent the FCC requires. You have the right to:

  • Ask what categories of CPNI we hold about you.
  • Restrict our use of your CPNI for marketing of services outside your existing relationship.
  • Designate authorized users on your account who may access CPNI on your behalf.

To exercise CPNI rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will verify your identity before disclosing CPNI.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not share CPNI for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as follows:

  • Underlying carriers, interconnect partners, and telecom vendors who deliver your calls, messages, faxes, eSIM, or number portability requests. These include wholesale voice, SMS, fax, and eSIM providers that we engage to operate the Services.
  • Service providers and processors acting on our behalf for payment processing (Stripe), hosting, error monitoring, email and SMS delivery, customer support tooling, fraud prevention, and analytics. These providers are bound to use the information only to perform services for us.
  • Legal process and safety: in response to a subpoena, court order, warrant, regulatory request, or other lawful demand; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Park My Phone, our customers, or others; and to address fraud or security threats.
  • Corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, or sale of assets, subject to the protections of this Policy.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

5. Data Retention

We retain account, billing, and CPNI records for the period required by applicable law (including FCC and state telecom recordkeeping requirements) and for as long as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. Communications content (voicemail, SMS, fax images) is retained for the retention period associated with your service plan and then deleted or anonymized.

6. Your Choices

  • Marketing email: use the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email, or contact us.
  • Marketing SMS: reply STOP to opt out of marketing text messages. Transactional messages necessary to deliver the Services will continue.
  • Cookies: see Section 9.
  • Account closure: contact [email protected] to close your account; certain records will be retained as described above.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom it is disclosed.
  • Access a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete personal information, subject to exceptions (for example, where retention is required for telecom regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, or to complete a transaction).
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information to the purposes reasonably necessary to provide the Services.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before responding. You may use an authorized agent; we will require written authorization and verification.
